Paul John Timpanelli, a resident of Llano, TX, was a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. While surrounded by his wife and family, Paul passed from this life and was welcomed into heaven on the evening of Friday, May 24, 2024 at the age of 75, following a courageous battle with non Hodkin's lymphoma.

Paul was born to Paul Michael Timpanelli and Josephine Consoli in Queens, NY on September 14, 1948. His family later relocated to Massapequa, NY where Paul graduated from Massapequa High School in 1967.

Paul served in the U.S. Coast Guard from July 17, 1967 through July 16, 1973 on board the USCG Cutter Mallow, performing Aids-to-Navigation and Search and Rescue missions. Additionally, during Paul's time on board the vessel from 1969 to 1972, the USCG Mallow was a member of Task Force 115, a joint USCG and U.S. Navy coastal surveillance operation initiated to halt the flow of war materials from North and South Vietnam. These vessels were tasked with identifying, stopping, and searching suspicious indigenous craft. Paul was proud to serve his country; however, it was his service in and off the waters of Vietnam that ultimately led to his illness.

Paul met his wife, Kimberley McPherson in 2007 while living in Palm Harbor, FL and the two were married on March 9, 2008. From 2009 to 2012, Paul and Kimberley resided in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Then, in 2013, the happy couple returned to Kimberley's hometown of Llano, TX where Paul quickly fell in love with the country life, and where he spent the remainder of his years.

Paul is survived by his wife Kimberley, his daughter Jennifer Timpanelli of Connecticut, his son Santino Timpanelli of Connecticut, his two sisters, Lori Grant of Spring Hill, FL, and Joan Kuhn of Copiague, NY, his step-daughter Amanda Richards of Georgetown, TX, his step-sons Daniel Smith and Michael Smith both of Corpus Christi, TX, eight grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Joseph Timpanelli.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Llano Uplift Church located at 301 State Hwy 71, Llano, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Towers, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or to Llano Uplift Church.

I am thankful to have had the opportunity to laugh and joke with Paul during
his treatments. He would always sing the little jingle "just stopped by to see what condition my condition was in!" Fly on, my friend xoxo

Paul is my Brother. I could write a book on our time together as Brother and Sister. Amazing loving caring and oh so smart. As a big brother he was the best. The rest of my life journey without him in it will be sad but I know there will be much joy when we meet again. Always in my heart .

Kimberly and family, we are so deeply sorry for your loss and we pray for God's peace and comfort during this difficult time.

The joy of the Lord is our strength. We rejoice that his was a life well lived, and that today he is dancing with our Father, God, in fields of grace.

Paul and Kim would come over to my Mom´s and Emmett´s house along with other family. Always had good food and good booze. It was always a good time with Paul around cracking jokes and telling stories. He will be missed.
