Paul put a new roof on our old house and shop here in Mulhall and when we lost that house in the 1999 tornado, Paul did the new house and shop. Our son, Nate Nickels, worked several jobs with Paul and we came to know him well. He was a joy to work with and so dedicated to doing a good job, and he ALWAYS did. We were so sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts a prayers are with you and your family.

Paul and I met way back in 1989. I had just retired from playing pro football the year before and I wanted to lose weight the right way. I was talking to Paul about this one day and he said " Why don't you try roofing, that will take the pounds off for sure." So I started working for him and for sure the pounds (30 lbs) came off. I really injoyed Paul's company so much that I worked for several years. He became my closest brother through thick and thin. I will never forget him. God will bess him and his family.

Paul showed me what inner strength is.I live in Spokane, Wa but we spoke almost daily threw out his battle. He was always concerned about everyone else right up to the end when I went to visit him I found him comforting me. I loved him as my brother and will never forget him.So sorry to his family that took great care of him in his last days. Bob Trautmann
