Paul Wood

Paul was a wonderful person who had a good heart. He was easy to talk to and to laugh with. He will be missed by so many people and his passing has left a hole that will never be filled.

Sorry to hear of Dr. Wood's passing. I met him when I first moved to Clemson in 1969 and worked at Vocational Rehabilitation where he consulted. He was the sweetest, kindest man. I always told people if they ever needed "help" to contact him. He always had so much wisdom and taught me so much about people. Sincerely, Karen Keinath

Dr. Wood was amazing beyond words! He truly loved and cared for people. Always loved his boyish grin. Dr. Wood was a positive influence for so many. May His Memory Be Eternal. Prayers to family and friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Wood while serving as a counselor for the SC Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in Anderson, SC. Dr. Wood was the consummate professional. He was caring and supportive of his fellow man. He will be missed and truly is irreplaceable. My sincere condolences to his family and to all who knew him.

My heart breaks for your loss of such a wonderful man. I have always quoted so many thing P.B. said in class like "There was a girl at Whitten Village when I had lunch there yesterday, all she could do was cut pie, but she was the best pie cutter I've ever seen." He truly saw the special in special people and helped me to also. I am so glad he came my way. Love and prayers to your entire family.

I did not know Paul directly but know many who he has influenced. Thank you for a life well lived for Christ. Praying for the family and celebrating this life that brought a smile to God's face.

I still remember Paul Baker paying .50 for me to be able to go on the school hay ride at CWC. That was over 65 years ago. Thanks Paul. Bill Fremch

I am blessed to have been a student of Dr. Wood. His wit and wisdom in the classroom and around campus are the things I remember most. My prayers are with his family during this time. Heaven rejoices Dr. Wood's homegoing!

Dear Family if Uncle Paul,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. There have been so many times in my life that Uncle Paul has influenced me and guided me. I will miss him so much!

I am so very sad to learn of PB's passing... Like hundreds of others, Paul touched my life deeply. We first met when he evaluated me for missionary service in 1978. From that day forward, he was a wise mentor, an encourager and a dear friend. We were all better because of his presence in our lives. PB counseled my mother, myself, & my daughter. How do I begin to express my love for him? In Sierra Leone there is a saying...My mouth is too small. That sums it up. My prayers are with his family. Save us a tee time, Dr. PB. I'll drive the cart.

I will always remember Paul Wood having worked with him throughout my own educational career at SWU and sitting under his instruction as a member of his Sunday School Class. It was a privilege to go trout fishing, golfing, and attend auctions with him. He was the ideal person to arrive on campus when the administration was focusing on accreditation. He was a leader on campus in many ways, especially while mentoring students, faculty, and staff. He was a church leader at all levels of administration. He will be greatly missed in the community. Oh Katie, I was sad to read about your dad but what a rich legacy he left you! His life truly made a difference for so many. May these days be filled with peace as you travel these next few days.

Dr. Wood was a friend, mentor and through the years provided keen insight and counsel. A true scholar whose leadership in his field was respected by his colleagues. He was quick witted, fun and always willing to lend a hand, good advice or word of encouragement. A true Southern gentlemen who loved his Lord and lived it in his daily walk. Donna and I extend our thoughts and prayers to Christine and family during thistime of transition.

Dr. Wood and Christine have touched my life in countless ways, but particularly I benefited in observing their relationship in the Sunday School class I attended for several years. P.B. spoke words of life to me in counseling sessions, and I never rose to leave his office without feeling better and strong enough to go forward in my life. Love to you all!

Dr. Wood was an important fixture in my years at CWC. I remember enjoying his class , which I took my freshman year. Because he was a neighbor to my aunt and uncle, I grew up with many humorous Paul Wood stories. Though I hate hearing his time on Earth has ended, I know he is rejoicing in heaven!
