Paula Babcock Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 23, 2014.

BABCOCK, Paula Ann (Rodliff) of Dunedin, FL, passed away after a period of failing health at Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas on June 23, 2014. She was born March 17, 1949 in Brookline, MA and was the daughter of (the late) Barbara (Hubbard) and Paul Rodliff, Sr. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert E. Babcock, formerly of Beverly, MA and her stepson, Daniel Babcock, his wife, Michelle and three grandchildren of Queen Creek, AZ. At her familiy’s request, there will be no services and her cremated remains will be lovingly saved and eventually be joined with her husband, Bobby. Paula’s passion was racehorses. She aspired to become a very successful horse trainer and raced her horses throughout the eastern seaboard. She spent many long days at Suffolk Downs and Rockingham race tracks. She was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. She loved to go to the beaches in Florida and eventually ended up settling there with her husband. Paula had a beautiful smile and made friends easily. She always loved a gathering and cooking for people. She loved to entertain, travel, sew, knit, make stained glass windows and was a very creative person. Paula’s professional career included New England Life, United Brands and sales and marketing at Eggcrates. She is also survived by her siblings, Linda Mello, Dover, NH; Peter Rodliff, Newton, MA; Sandra Galloway, Weymouth, MA; Cynthia Lang, Bridgewater, MA and Paul Rodliff, Jr. Osterville, MA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. www.sylvanabbey.com
