Paula Bonar Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 22, 2025.
Paula Kaye Bonar (Polen) lovingly known as "miss bear", "P", and "p-nut", peacefully finished her journey on earth with family by her side, taking Jesus's hand on September 17th.

She was the light in the room. Her love of life and Christ was pure and to everyone that knew her she was an amazing friend. She was active in many groups over the years, but especially loved her animal rescues and her motorcycle girls.

She was born in Bowling Green Ohio to Sandi Capers Polen (her best friend for life) and Jeffery Polen. She grew up in Hopedale Ohio where she started life long friendships with people she truly treasured and cherished time with her girls on their annual "girls trips". There she also began her huge love for animals (allegedly breaking one out of doggy jail...) and she maintained that love her entire life. She's probably riding Chico with all of her dogs chasing behind every day!

She graduated from Akron University and moved into the workplace doing many different types of jobs, always passionately giving her best. She ended her work at Everglades Equipment Group, loving her job and all of her co-workers. They were truly amazing and lovingly treated her like family.

She was preceded by many family members she adored including her grandparents "Grams" and Paul, Edna and grandfather "Moochy", her father "JP" and her little brother "Boo".

God gave her to me to share our lives together for 30 years. This was the greatest gift ever given. She always loved the life we created together and was always my best friend and everything I ever wanted or needed. I always counted the minutes when we were apart, waiting and wanting to be back in our place together. I'm counting the minutes again.......

She was a loving stepmother to three children from a previous marriage along with ours, Matthew, Toni and Tyson who adored her like their own. Then she brought her own son into the world, Jackson was her greatest accomplishment and she loves him with her whole being. She is now his / our guiding light and forever angel.

She leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Keira - Kolton - Benjamin - Harrison - Cyrus - Lorelei - and Theo. As well, she leaves behind her Mother, her uncle Mike and her aunt Barb and several other loving relatives.

She will always be our inspiration to try to love as she did! I will miss her for the rest of my life!

Sweetheart, keep a seat at the table until we meet again.

Paula you have left this world much too early but God has another Angel at his side. May your body rest in peace and your soul soar to heaven on the wings of Angels.

I was blessed to have such a loving and wonderful bonus mom, and someone to love all the people that I love. She was a wonderful person inside and out. I am grateful that she is no longer in pain because I know that she would have fought forever if it had been an option. I will miss her everyday.

I am heartbroken to hear this... what a wonderful woman and friend she is to so many people. I remember First meeting her when the Chrome Divas came into my embroidery shop in Naples and ordered hats and halters and shirts for all GALS and having been a motorcycle rider myself (when I was younger) I made such a terrific connection with all the Divas! Our love goes out to the family, and family was everything to her, and hugging all your hearts, knowing we will all see Paula again one day, with love from Nancy and Joe Sustersic

I feel so blessed to have had Paula as my neighbor and friend. Even though it was only for a short while. She was such a light! May God bless her and keep her.

I met Paula when she came to work at T.I.P in Bensenville, Il. She still had Chico, and I will never forget the time we spent the day having "Glamour Shots".

Rest in peace Paula and I will see you again
