Paula Cohen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 10, 2024.
Paula Ina Cohen (Peckerman), a cherished resident of Boynton Beach, FL, and formerly of Andover and Swampscott, MA, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on September 10, 1945, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Paula was the beloved wife of Neal Cohen, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and friendship.

Paula was a devoted mother to her daughters, Allison Faulkingham (Dell) of Windham, NH, and Ellen McCue (Brandon) of Stamford, CT. She was a proud grandmother to Madison and Kyra Faulkingham, and Gavin and Tanner McCue. Paula is also survived by her brother, Robert Parker, and his wife Beverly, as well as her nephew Bruce Lein and his wife Heidi, along with many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Jerrold Peckerman and her parents, Minnie and Max Peckerman.

A graduate of Lasell Junior College and Salem State College in 1967, Paula began her career as a compassionate educator before transitioning into real estate and other sales roles. Her professional journey was marked by dedication and a genuine desire to help others.

Paula was deeply involved in her community, notably at Temple Emanuel in Andover and with the PAP Corps for cancer research in Florida. Her commitment to giving back was fueled by gratitude for the 12 years she gained after her cancer diagnosis, years she cherished and used to make a difference.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paula's memory may be made to The Pap Corps, 1191 E Newport Center Drive, Suite 107, Deerfield Beach, FL 33442. Paula's legacy of love, resilience, and service will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

I will always remember Paula as a great beauty both inside and out. One of the first people I met after moving to Andover in 1985 and the one who made me feel the most welcome. Over the many years since and including summer 2023, her vibrant smile, warmth and kindness are what she has left to me. Our hearts go out to you Neil, Alison, Ellen and families. Patty and Ken Cupp
