I went to Mount Alvernia high school with Paula so many years ago. I moved to California and we lost touch. But she was a dear friend who I shared many wonderful times with when we were young.

I was looking through an old year book and came across her picture which brought back so many memories. So I decided to look her up online and discovered that she had passed away just a few short months ago.

My heart goes out to her family, friends and patients who obviously loved her very much. I'm not surprised to hear that she was such a bright and generous light in her community.

And I'm sad and sorry to hear that she's left this world way too soon.

My sincere condolences goes out to the entire family of Dr. Gilchrist. I recently found out about her passing from my new podiatrist that she recommended after her retirement. Paula and I shared many family memories over our 28 years together as patient and Dr. She genuinely cared about each of her patient's needs. My utmost admiration was her work with Dr's Across the Borders program and volunteering her time with the elderly. May Paula rest in peace with our Lord and Jesus Christ-Amen.

I just found out about the passing of Paula. I was a patient for many years. She was a doctor listened and who gave helpful suggestions. She was not one to jump to surgery; she explored other avenues which is unusual in todays medical world. The Pittsburgh medical community has lost a lost a wonderful member. My condolences go out to her family and friends at the loss of this wonderful caring perons.

I loved PAULA as she was my past podiatrist, she always had a happy smile and a nice compassionate personality. She always asked me about my grandson because his mom, who was my daughter passed away so suddenly and she knew how hard it was for me. Now PAULA is in Heaven with her.
I recently learned that Paula passed, my heart ❤ goes out to her girls and her family. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.

Saddened to learn of Dr. Gilchrist's passing. For many years she was my podiatrist - always a patient and sympathetic listener and provider of helpful advice.

Dear Gilchrist and Lizak families

May God heal your tender hearts with the same love that He shares with Paula... and that she shared with us.

Paula was one of the most grounded, kind, humorous, faithful, people I knew. Whether it was during our teenage years in the Polish Falcons, or her professional years serving my parents' health needs, she was always dedicated to the spirit of encouragement. She was definitely gifted and she shared those gifts with everyone...and those blessings remain.

CZOLEM sweet Paula!
Fondly,

We were so grateful to know Paula and have her as an associate member since 1996. She was a servant and healer to many through her practice as a podiatrist and physical therapist. She shared God's Provident love with her daughters, family members, friends, patients, and anyone else God would bring her way and in an incredibly deep and dedicated way. Paula touched so many lives in her wonderful life by her living faith and loving service and we will miss her very, very much.

Dr. Paula Gilchrist was like a second mother to me! I worked for her for over 12 years. She taught me so much in life, things that I could have never learned on my own. I love her daughters as if they were my own. My heart goes out to them, as well as their entire family.

We, at the Generalate in RI, also send condolences on the passing to eternal life of Sisters of Divine Providence Associate Paula Lizak Gilchrist. We recall the many ways she contributed to the life of the Community through her associate relationship. We especially remember the wonderful St. Patrick's Day celebration where she contributed her culinary talents with that of other Associates. We also recall her ministry of physical therapy and podiatry--so important because our feet transport us to our places of ministry and care for God's people. We offer condolences to Paul's mother and daughters and our prayers of support for you. We know that Paula rests in the eternal embrace of our Provident God. My sincere condolences to the entire Lizak family. Paula was one of my oldest friends...I've known her since we were 6 years old. We went to St. Nicholas grade school & then Mt. Alvernia High School together.
Her accomplishments in the field of Podiatry were nothing short of amazing.
She was my Mom's podiatrist. My Mom loved her.
She is gone way too soon. May she rest in peace.
