We were so heart broken tto hear of Paula's passing! Steve and Paula shared a unique friendship and work "spouses" so to speak!! Paula was always willing to help Steve towards the end of his working at Columbia. If he were here, he would've had things to share about who she was as a coworker, a friend and of course the Monday morning talks about who played better, the Seahawks or the Vikings!! And of course those June conversations leading up to the Frogs season. And Paula was quick to support our kids by getting them jobs, even if it didn't work out for Courtney!!
Taylor had the most respect for her with her training, her appreciation and always telling us that Taylor was always the first in and the last out!
Paula, please give Steve a hug for me and tell him I miss him!!
Go Hawks!

I just happened to open a message that´s been waiting in messenger today..from Steffany.. that my dear friend has gone. Her heart was a gift she gave to so many. I feel truly blessed to have witnessed and experienced the love this amazing woman radiated through all the years I knew her. She is an example of how one Life can make such an incredible difference. It was always amazing to me how Paula knew all the names of all the kids that came through her kitchen, AND made a point of checking in with ALL of them. Needless to say.. No one ever went hungry. Her kindness will continue endlessly through the lives she has touched. I love You Paula. Thank you for being my friend.

I met Paula through my boyfriend, Mark (later my husband) in my junior , Paula´s sophomore year. Paula, Jerry and Mark attended Mariner High School and I attended Cascade. We hung out on weekends riding in the cool cars, going to games, a few parties, car shows and later purchasing homes just blocks apart and hanging out together on weekends! Then, we had baby boys a month apart! Then, baby girls ! We spent our early, vibrant young years hanging out! From day one when I met Paula, she was the girl that I met through others that made me feel like I was one of the gang and we had a sweet connection! A caring, kind likeable person that became my friend! Mark remembers Paula fondly and has only sweet memories of her and Jerry together! We want to extend our condolences to Jerry, Todd, Steffany and all of the family! RIP dear , Paula!

I am so sorry for the loss of Paula. She was a special woman and touched the lives of so many children at Columbia, including my own children, Hailey and Hunter Christensen. My mom worked in food services with Paula for many years and held a special place in our hearts.

My wife Joan and I have known Paula since 2002, she came to work with us in the main concession stand at Everett Memorial Stadium. Paula was a wonderful employee and a terrific mentor to the younger concession stand employees. She was so much fun to be around. She worked hard and did some amazing things for our organization. We came back to visit the AquaSox in 2017 and the picture Included was of Paula and me. She was so excited to see us. She even let me come back into the concession stand during the game to tour which brought back so many wonderful memories. We will miss you Paula.

Jerry & Family,
I was saddened to read of Paula´s passing. I´ve thought of her fondly many times over the years. What fun we had in high school, roaring around in my old 1955 Chevy, cruising Colby, and cooking up a storm in Fran Heimstra´s class! We had several eventful times clam digging in front of our beach house on Whidbey & sailing about in my little pram. Life was good.
Visiting Jane & Homer´s store, I could always count on Paula to grab some goodies for our cruising trips. Homer would wink and say "leave a buck on the counter." They were patient with girl antics!
We reconnected when both our kids were small, then lost track. I regret we didn´t catch up. I believe we worked just buildings away, as I taught for MSD.
I´m thankful to have been a part of Paula´s early life, however brief.
Treasure all the heart-warming memories. I am very sorry for your loss.
