Our friend, Ruth Peranich and I were just reminiscing about Paula last night. It still doesn't seem possible she's gone. She was such a generous, vibrant woman with a brilliant mind. We sang together and always remained friends.

Paula will forever be fondly remembered by her barbershop quartet members (Cat's Meow and Company B). We had a great time.

I was a student intern at MCPS in 1986 and worked with Paula on Homework Hotline. She was a big influence on me. I remember a party that Paula threw at her house in January 1987 for MCPS staff and interns. Good memories!

Paula had a great sense of humor. I work in a nursing home (activities dept) and Paula was such a pleasure to deal with. Her "Two For The Show" performances were loved by residents, staff, and visitors. She always knew the residents and wanted to make sure they were happy. Our budget was thin, but she always made sure that what we could afford, just happen to be what she charged. She is missed, but she left behind such feelings of love!!

Six months have passed since I lost my treasured singing partner. I think of her every day! Every time I sing her voice keeps echoing in my mind. Our ten years of singing together were absolute joy. We shared the duet duties - each with our own specialty. I did the tech & sound, she did the scheduling and customer contact. Ten years without an argument or a cross word. No one will ever replace her. She will be remembered by the thousands of folks we sang for over those years. She will be remembered by me FOREVER.

She was my favorite teacher at White Oak Junior High back in the 70's, actually my favorite teacher ever. So sad to learn about her passing. Rest in peace Ms. Rehr.

I just learned of Paula's passing. I work at one of the facilities that she came to, to entertain. She was so talented and such a warm and caring way about her. My condolences to her family and dear friends. She is already missed.

Paula was a delightful person to work with and a great person to know. She was lively, positive, intelligent, thoughtful, and caring. She was the sort of person everyone should have in their lives, a true friend from the start.

Paula was a very special woman. She and my son Scott shared a wonderful friendship which extended to me as well. It is much too early to lose such a wonderful woman. Anne Byrd

For many years Paula was a work colleague and a friend. After I first arrived at MCPS-TV with young baby in tow, Paula quickly became sort of a surrogate mom, offering my wife and me Scott's hand-me-downs, lots of motherly advice, and (of course) her latest knitted gem. I'll never forget our memorable lunch together in 2011, at the exact moment when the Washington earthquake hit. We went running from the restaurant together, laughing that we now could check off experiencing an earthquake from our bucket lists! I truly will miss Paula's warmth, humor, and her caring about me and our family.

I was lucky enough to have Paula in my life starting back at Ridgeview Jr High School, 8th and 9th grade (1975-1977). Paula was my Media and Career teacher. Not only did I have fun working on school plays as her art director, she taught us all how to succeed in life. We have remained friends over the past 42 years. Paula is a very special person, and so many are blessed just to have known her. I, and my family, will miss Paula's humor, her smile, and the way she cared for so many tremendously. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Paula and I sang barbershop music together for over 20 years and remained friends up to her passing. We were looking forward to our annual trip to Knoxville TN in October, where the remaining Cat's Meow quartet will plant something beautiful by the lake in her honor. Paula was special in so many ways and will be greatly missed. Condolences to Lori. Scott and, of course, Mom Blanche.

I had the opportunity to work with Paula for more than 15 years. She was a wonderful, bright, outgoing lovely person who enjoyed being around people and was at her best when she was spontaneous. She loved the theatre and singing performing for many groups throughout the years. She sincerely cared about others, especially those less fortunate than herself. I will miss her enthusiam, laughter and incredible energy. -Dick Lipsky

Really enjoyed listening and getting to know Paula while her and Tom performed at the Charlestown Retirement Community, Arbutus Sr. Center and Catonsville Sr. Center the last several years. Thinking of everyone during this difficult time who was touched by Paula's voice and great personality!
