Paula Jean Steinhorst Conklin

Paula Jean (PJ) Steinhorst Conklin was born on January 17th, 1953, in Batavia, New York to Patricia (Miss Pat) Steinhorst and Walter Steinhorst. After leaving New York with her family, she grew up in Monticello, Florida, and spent her adult years in Jacksonville, Florida. Paula (PJ) was a woman of many talents. She was a wonderful artist, a poet, and so much more. She also was in a wide range of professions from running a beloved daycare to working as a state correctional officer to working in Home Health Care (and those are just a few). Paula (PJ) was also a woman of great faith and held a strong bond with God. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 21st, 2023, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. She is survived by her children Chad Conklin (Kelsey), Robert Conklin (Emily), Matthew Munro (Jessica) and her younger sister Lisa Martin (Jeffrey), her aunt Marleen Bowers (Bob), her niece Melissa Harrell (Mike), her nephew Michael Steinhorst, and her stepdaughter Gin Munro (Kyle). Her grandchildren include Hallie, Greyson, Tovin, Elijah, Eleanor, Tabby, Hailey, and Nicholas, and she had many beloved cousins and other precious loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Steinhorst and Walter Steinhorst, and her younger brothers, Richard Steinhorst and Eric Steinhorst.
