Way back when your mom started nurses’ training at Memorial hospital, I was her ”big sis” . A big sis was a nursing student one year older who knew everything we thought, so we could be a great “guidance” to a young “newbie”. What it really did was bring two students together who could laugh & cry together as we tried to make it through nurse’s training.
Paula & I lost touch after she left Memorial but a few years ago reconnected here on Facebook. We shared family updates & life stories. I’m only sorry that we never got that chance to do all of this in person. I know she loved her career in nursing & her family.
I’m sorry for your loss & will keep you in my prayers. Keep your memories fresh by talking about them with family & friends. Paula will always be there with you, just over your shoulder.
