Paulette Costanzi Barrett, a resident of Scranton, passed Monday, July 13, surrounded by her family at Allied Hospice, Scranton. She and her late husband, John H. Barrett, who succumbed in 2006, were married for 51 years.
Born in Scranton, Pa., daughter of the late John and Louise Salamida Costanzi, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Scranton, Pa.
Prior to her first retirement to help care for her husband, Paulette had been employed for more than 10 ten years with Drs. Cesar and Metzger and then later with the Foley Law Firm for an additional 10-year period and as a teacher's assistant at John F. Kennedy Elementary school. Active in the community, Paulette was a former officer with the Catholic Women's Society and a dedicated volunteer to the Red Hats Society, Broadway Theatre, Scranton Philharmonic and St. Joseph's Center.
Paulette is survived by her daughters, Denise Spinelli and her husband, Robert, Moosic; and Claudine Flynn and her husband, Daniel, Cranford, N.J.; sons, Shawn Barrett and wife, Kathy, Clarks Summit; and Todd Barrett, Scranton; five grandchildren, Nolan Barrett, Michael and Mia Spinelli, Jack and Cora Flynn.
She is survived by her three sisters, Gertrude Mikolaczyk, Joan Del Rosso and Elaine De Mario. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Costanzi; and brother-in law, Mike Mikolaczyk.

Memorial contributions may be made in Paulette's name to St. Joseph's Center, Dunmore, PA 18509. Due to COVID-19, funeral Mass, memorial service and interment at Cathedral Cemetery will be celebrated at the convenience of the family.
