Pauline Bollman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 9, 2025.
Pauline Marie Harper was born in Loma, Colorado on September 6, 1939 to Lawrence and Vera Harper. She was the 5th of 6 children. The family moved to Fruita where Pauline completed her schooling. She was very talented academically and was the Head Girl in her class because of her grades.

Pauline married Robert Bollman on August 13, 1958. They had 6 children of their own, Linda, Robin, Timothy, Amy, Lisa and Jennifer. The family lived in Fort Collins, Estes Park and Wyoming before settling in the "green house on the highway" in Montrose, Colorado. They lived in Montrose and that is where all 6 of the kids graduated high school.

After a few moves on the Western Slope of Colorado, Bob and Pauline settled in LaSalle, Colorado where they could be close to most of their children. In addition to their 6 children and their spouse, Bob and Pauline had 13 grandchildren and many wonderful great grandchildren. Their years were full of wonderful memories of LaSalle Day parades and fireworks, family holiday celebrations and watching their family grow. Bob passed away on October 18, 2008, only 2 months after the couple celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage with their children around them.

Pauline became an LPN in October of 1973 and that was the beginning of a long and successful career in healthcare. She was a very well respected Administrator and Tumor Registrar at Montrose Memorial Hospital and later, a medical coder at Saint Mary's in Grand Junction. She retired in 2011.

Pauline lived in LaSalle up until her health required a move to Fair Acres Manor in Greeley. She passed away on October 16, 2024 with the love of her children and grandchildren all around her.

Pauline is survived by her children, Linda Hughes of Denver, CO, Timothy and Novi Bollman of Wilder, TN, Amy and Corey Gates of Centennial, Lisa and Rolf Stavig of Lakewood, CO, and Jennifer and Kirk Higgins of Cheyenne WY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her daughter Robin; her son-in-law, Chuck; her grandson, Charlie; her grandson, Jac and 2 of her sisters.

A celebration of Pauline's life will be held on May 17, 2025 at 10:00am at the Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, Colorado where her ashes will be laid to rest alongside those of her beloved husband. The cemetery address is 1175 17 1/4 Rd. Furita, Co 81521. There will be a casual reception immediately following the cemetery service at the Heritage Park Pavilion, 210 Interstate 70 Frontage Rd, Fruita, Co 81521. All those who loved Pauline are welcome to attend.

Your Mom was such a kind and loving woman. I always enjoyed talking with her and she made us feel welcome. She has passed on wonderful qualities and will be remembered with love. We look forward to hearing stories and memories on Saturday.
