Pauline Chase Obituary
April 12, 1935 - November 11, 2018
Pauline Chase, better known as Paula, joined her guardian angel, Blessed Mother, and her parents, Frank and Marie Mooney, in heaven on November 11, 2018.
Paula was the oldest of ten kids who were raised in Ronkonkoma, Long Island, New York. Though 55 years ago, she blazed a trail from New York to Reno, Nevada. She bravely boarded a Greyhound Bus with three little girls in search of a new life. In 1979, she relocated to Grand Junction, CO, and then to Denver years later. She returned to Grand Junction three years ago.
For most of her life, she worked in the service industry while raising five kids whom she referred to as her greatest accomplishments.
Surviving their mom are Dr. Terry Chase (Sharon Blackburn) of Grand Junction, CO; Peggy Rew (Dale) and Patty Oliphant (Bob) of Sparks, NV; Richard Chase (Cindi) of Fort Worth, TX, and Tom Chase of NYC. She was a proud grandma to Kristopher Boesen, Kyle Boesen, Tess Oliphant, Abby Oliphant, Hunter Chase, Amos Chase, and Manda Chase Jones, plus great-grandma to six great-grandkids. She also leaves behind five brothers, two sisters, and numerous cousins.
A service is not planned. Her children request any donations be made in her name to Roice-Hurst Humane Society, Grand Junction, CO.
