Pauline D. Hollenbaugh

Pauline (Polly) D. Hollenbaugh, of Carlisle, PA, died peacefully at the age of 97 on February 4, 2025 at the Thornwald Home in Carlisle. She was born on July 4, 1927 to David O. and Florence Kingsborough Dunkleberger in Carlisle and was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Dale C. Hollenbaugh Sr., who died August 27, 1999.

Polly graduated from Carlisle H. S. and worked in retail sales at several stores in Carlisle. A member of the Middlesex United Methodist Church, she had served as Sunday School Nursery Superintendent at her previous church. She had served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother and Rainbow Girls Board Member. She was a member of the Old Bellaire Chapter Order of Eastern Star, the Order of Amaranth, the Ozemb Temple Daughters of the Nile and the Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Pauline is survived by daughters Paula (Frank) Evelhoch of Mechanicsburg and Suzette Humer of Carlisle; sons Dale (Donna) Hollenbaugh Jr. of Oakville and Gregory Hollenbaugh of York; 9 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and 8 Step Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Jane Mentzer, Janet Dunkleberger, Robert Dunkleberger and Benjamin Dunkleberger.

The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania has been entrusted with Pauline's care and according to her her wish, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
