Pauline Edith King

Pauline E. King, 79, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2025 in Tampa, FL. Pauline was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born in Binghamton, New York to parents Bruce and Edith Leach. She graduated from Susquehanna Valley High School in Conklin, NY. There she met her husband of 60 years, John H. King. Pauline was a graduate of Broome County Community College. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Johnson City School District.

Pauline was a woman of great faith. She was an active member of the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd in Binghamton, NY. She gave of her musical talents, singing in the choir every Sunday and playing the guitar on special occasions. She had many friends in the church and was always willing to help others in a time of need. Pauline had an unselfish nature. She was empathetic and kind to everyone.

Above all, Pauline most enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends. She loved to go camping, kayaking, biking and sewing with family and her friends at Belle Parc in Florida. She was most happy spending time with her husband John, daughter Jacqueline (Ken) Sackrider and son John (Jill) King and their families. Family meant everything to her, she was a proud and devoted grandmother to five granddaughters: Halle (King) Johnson, Hannah (Sackrider) Jensen, Leah King, Grace King and Bethany Sackrider. She would move heaven and earth to spend time with them. Attending sporting events, graduations, musical performances and anything else they participated in. She was a rock for her family, a solid foundation. Pauline is also survived by her brother Paul Leach.

A special Memorial service will be held on August 16, 2025 at 3:00pm at the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd, 360 Conklin Ave. Binghamton, NY 13903. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the American Red Cross or please consider donating a pint in honor of Pauline.
