TIMMINS OUIMET, Pauline
April 11, 1922 - May 2, 2016
Passed away peacefully on May 2, 2016 after a long and heroic battle with ALS. We are immensely grateful to the staff of the Veteran's Hospital at Sainte-Anne-de- Bellevue. She is survived by her daughters Margaux and Michelle, and three sons, Paul Jr., Pierre and Jacques Ouimet (Patricia), as well as her grandchildren, Jules Ouimet, Arthur and Alex Leopold, and Maeghan and Manon Ouimet. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Ouimet, Q.C. (1918-1975). Daughter of Jules and Edna Timmins, Pauline was the oldest of nine children. She was predeceased by her brothers, Henry, Robert and Jules Jr., and sisters, Julia Timmins (Santry) and Joan Timmins (Fitzpatrick). She will also be missed by her sister Gloria Gould, her brothers Bill and Nelson Timmins, her sisters-in-law Pam Timmins (Robert) and Fiona Chai Timmins (Bill), and many admirers. Pauline will live on forever in our fond memories of her contagious joie de vivre. A Celebration of Pauline's Life will take place in Montreal at Saint- Léon de Westmount Church, 4311 de Maisonneuve Blvd. (corner of Clarke Ave) on Saturday, May 21 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Pauline's memory to The Montreal Neurological Hospital and Institute (ALS FUND in memo section), 3801 University St., #365, Montreal, QC H3A 2B4 or to the Quebec Labrador Foundation, where Pauline served for many years, QLF, 606 rue Cathcart, #430, Montreal, QC H3B 1K9.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. Pauline was a role model and mentor to me. I have so many fond memories of the times I shared with the family and of course who could ever forget Expo {Her most wonderful golden retriever in the world !}
So many fond memories... her enlisting me to help her with something she was up to! Expo was our bag man ... He would carry our bags up and down escalators, tail wagging.
I felt her spirit today and went online googled and found she had passed on. I could feel the shift ... the difference.
Strength and beauty and oh that laugh . She was a force of nature ... unsinkable ... her spirit lives on in all of us .
My hope is that we carry the torch as boldly as she has... to the finish line... to victory.
I love you all as dear brothers and sisters forever.

Much love and Many Blessings,
Christina : Webster

Love always... for the woman who was like a mother to me on so many occasions. Michelle and I, best pals growing up...only 2 months apart in age.. What a gift. LOVE to each and everyone who was touched by Pauline (always called her "Mrs. Ouimet"... but that's what we did in 'those days').. Will forever remember her... before rushing off to the Field Trials with she and Mr. Ouimet's champion Golden Retrievers on the weekends... Putting her glove on her head before going into early mass... Head covering was the rule back then.. and she was always creative when her lovely, feminine white lace was not in her possession. She'd just laugh. (I think she knew that God really wasn't concerned with such things... but the priest might be.) Just my take- I LOVED her dearly.
