PAULINE MACK WILDS

Pauline Mack Wilds FLORENCE - Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Mack Wilds will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at New Ebenezer Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Faith Memorial Gardens, Darl-ington. She died on Friday, October 16, 2009 in a local hospital after an illness. Pauline was born July 13, 1918 in Darlington, SC, the daughter of Rev. Lister and Inez Wilson Mack. She attended the public schools of Darlington County and was employed as a cook and baker at Head Start for several years. Pauline was a devoted member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church and served faithfully on several ministries. She was named "Woman of the Year" in 1984. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 65 for 53 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Franklin Wilds. Survivors are: her beloved children, James H., Sr. (Pat) Wilds, Gene W. (Alice) Wilds, Lillie Douglas, Listena Farley, Mary Alice Spears, Alma (Johnny) Davis and Barbara Jones; grandchildren, James H., Jr. (LaMetris) Wilds, Courteney Lynn Wilds, Cheryl Douglas, Monica Barber, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Douglas, David Mack, IV, Daniel Mack, Jocerlyn Spears, Min. Michael K. (Nicki) Spears, Paul Wilds, Rodney Spears, Anntoinette Farley and Jennifer (Miles) Jensen; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Queen Esther Spencer; sisters-in-law, Inez Mack and Christine Mack; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The casket will be placed in the church one prior to service. OES rites will be 7:00 p.m. this evening in the Chapel of Ideal Funeral Parlor.
