Dear Peer,
What a shock to hear from Natalie that your dad passed suddenly. For sure I would have found a way to be there for the funeral if I had known.
You are now THE MAN... life goes on for those around you... so keep your chin held high... as your dad would have wanted for you and yours.

Dear Pedersen family..We are sorry to hear of your loss. We are all too familiar with the sadness of losing a family member. Dear children of Peer Pedersen, My sister Peggy and I were just reminiscing long distance about your father and mother. My sister happened to see your father's obituary in the NY Times last week. My sister and I used to babysit for you (Petie and Donna) when you lived in a small house in Rye. This was in the early 60s. I remember walking you to the park near Playland. I also remember that Petie was a very finicky eater. You would only eat orange juice bars. When your parents stayed out late (and sometimes it was very late!!) I would eat the rest of those juice bars, leaving you nothing for breakfast! Your parents were a lovely people; as an idealistic teenager, I remember them as the 'perfect couple'. They were always so kind to us. Your father took on a case pro bono when some woman gave my father a $1000 bill when he was working at Grand Central Station. I will never forget coming home one night and seeing my father's picture plastered on the front page of the Daily News!!! I think your Dad was trying to raise sympathy for him. It has probably been 45 years since all this happened but please know your parents hold a special place in our memories. The last time I saw your father was at JFK, probably in the early 80s. I was waiting for a plane back to California, with two or three kids in tow. I recognized him and made myself known. We had a quick chat and we shared a laugh about those 3 a.m. drives back down the Boston Post Road when he had to drive me home after they had had a day and night of golf and festivities at WCC. Your parents did have fun in those days. It sounds like your Dad had a long productive life. We can't ask for much more than that. Regards, Marell Mahoney Brooks and Peggy Mahoney Basile

Peer - I never knew your father, but I certainly understand the loss that you and your family are going through. We laid my mother to rest on Thursday. We never get over the loss but we learn to live with it. May you be comforted by memories you have. My deepest sympathy to you and your entire family.

Peer, Donna, Lyn and Muff, My thoughts are with you, dear cousins. I remember so vividly your dad making fantastic milk shakes ("Frosties"?) for all of us kids when you visited us on Chester Rd. in Devon. It was a big production!
