Peggy Argenbright Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 25, 2024.
Born February 7, 1941 in Lexington, VA to Kathleen Whitmore and Giles Samuel McKemy. Peggy went peacefully into God's hands on Tuesday June 11, 2024 - she was 83 years old.

A graduate of Lexington High School; she received the citizenship award from the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Most of her professional career was spent with the Rockbridge Area Social Service Department - working from 1965 until her retirement in 2003.

More importantly, she will be remembered as a beloved wife, Mom, Granni, Great Granni, and Best Buddy.

Those that knew Peggy and travelled life's journey with her have fuller hearts having experienced her smile and sense of whimsy.

She told us often that she loved us.....

We responded with we love you more.....

We say and we know that you (Peggy) loved us BEST.

We will miss you....Be at peace.

Peggy is survived by her two children, their respective families, and many friends.

Graveside interment to be held July 6, 2024 at 10am Rockbridge Memorial Gardens Lexington, VA. Celebration of Life immediately following at Glen Maury Park Buena Vista, VA.

When speaking to and for the fur babies :). I can also remember being at Peggy's at a young age singing and dancing to Whitney Houston. Dressing upstairs for Sissy's wedding and through the years enjoying seeing all her flowers, she loved and knew her plants and flowers

There's a hole in our hearts. I will miss our talks on the porch, trips to the movies, hugs, and watching our favorite show together. Thank you dear Aunt Peggy for your unconditional love. We love you.
