Peggy Joyce (Benson) Dunn

Peggy Benson Dunn 89 was born February 14th, 1936 in Elkhart, Indiana to Walter Benson and Vernie Hurst. She died September 21st, 2025 at Parkwood Place Nursing Home with her daughters Marianne Wright and Cindy Murray at her side. She married and moved to the Fuller Springs Community to raise her three children. Her best friend (Vernell Havard) and her decided to go into nursing. After attending Angelina College, she went on to work for Memorial Hospital and Texas Home Health. She met the love of her life Johnnie Dunn and his three children and was married for 46 years.

They loved to fish and hunt and made their final home on Toledo Bend Lake, Milam, Tx.

Survivors: Son & Daughter in Law: Russell Gibson & Sharon / Ruidoso, NM. Daughter: Marianne Wright Huntsville, Tx Daughter & Son in Law: Cindy Murray & Tony Huntington, Tx. Stepchildren: Laurie Gabehart & Kelly of Lufkin, Tx Chris Dunn & Gina of Cedar Park,Tx. Amy Miller & Dwayne of Huntington, Tx Several grandchildren and great grandchildren she dearly loved.Preceded In Death: Husband: Johnnie Dunn, Parents: Walter Benson, Vernie Hurst and George Hurst Brother: Arthur Benson Son in Law: Tommy Wright

Cremation thru Lufkin Memorial Chapel was her request with no viewing.

Lots of years of wonderful memories with Mom. She had many happy years with a wonderful husband, Johnnie. So thankful to have had both of them in my life.
