Peggy Meaney

MEANEY, Peggy Sheila September 15, 1927 - December 23, 2010 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Peggy, much loved mother of Maureen (Larry), Patrick, Ray (Laurie), Danny, Betty (Kevin), Mike (Joy), grandmother of Doug, Eric, Kim, Jamie and seven great-grandchildren. Peggy also leaves behind her sister Betty in England and her nephew Nigel and his two daughters. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Dan, in 1986. Peggy was born in Kent, England. She married Dan in 1945 and in 1954 moved to Newfoundland with four children. They later had two more children and in 1973 moved to Calgary. Peggy was loved fondly and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy's name directly to the Calgary Humane Society (4455 - 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB, T2C 2T7). A Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Traditional Anglican Church (904 Renfrew Drive N.E., Calgary) on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Reception will follow.
