Peggy Sue Norton

Maryville - Peggy Sue Norton, age 93, of Maryville passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025 surrounded by family at her home. She was the Valedictorian at Darling High School in Darling, MS. Peggy worked as a Draftsman in New York City before joining the United States Navy. She participated in a children's learning disability program in the 1970's. Peggy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the "Sweet Adalines" Chorus. Preceded in death by her husband, John R. L Norton; sisters, Kay Stahli and Hazel Pichon; brother, Kenneth D. Williams. Survivors include her sons, John and Alhaja Norton, and Richard Lee Norton; daughters, April T. Norton and Valeri Norton; granddaughter, Katie Elizabeth Norton; sister, Dot Punch. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 on Thursday, December 11, 2025 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with a service to follow at 6:00. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Sherwood Memorials Gardens for the Interment.
