Aunt Peggy, when I was little and you used to come to Stanley to visit us, I thought you were a movie star! You were so pretty, and I loved listening to you talk. You told such interesting stories that I wish I had written down. You always sent such beautiful Christmas cards with a little calendar enclosed that always went on my fridge. I appreciate all you did for me and later for Garland over the years. I thank you so much for all the times you came to Virginia for visits and parties and I am so sorry that I will not be able to come to your service. We are keeping all of your family in our thoughts and prayers. With love, Rosemary, Jonathan, Juliana & Joe

Aunt Peggy, we shall miss you and the blessed impact you had on our lives! You brought sunshine with you whenever we were honored with your visits. Your infectious smile, your positive attitude, and the joy you brought to us will always be remembered. You were a true Southern belle with your beauty, charm, and flair for beautiful clothes. The Shenandoah Valley has lost a true masterpiece
, and we have lost a wonderful aunt. Love always.

Aunt Peggy's dear family, We have fond memories of Aunt Peggy as we lived by the Shenandoah River near the Comer Homeplace. We never called Peggy, Nellie and Catherine Aunt. They were like our sisters. Aunt Peggy made some of my clothes when I was very young. All of our family loved her and looked forward to her visits to Virginia. Love and prayers to each of you. Patsy and Kenny Cullers. P.S. Kenny fell in love with Aunt Peggy and her fried chicken.
