Penny and I were great friends in high school and I have many fond memories of our times together, overnights, and yes we did skip school a couple of times to go skiing. All my thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

I met Penny many years ago when her boys were very young and needed to see a dentist. I moved to a different part of the state and maintained contact with Penny and her family throughout the years. We shared a love of horses, zuni fetishes, and the beauty of life in varied aspects with a deep and heartfelt friendship for well over 20 years. Her courage, quiet grace and compassion in the face of adversity was her hallmark. I will always hold her in my heart and never forget the kindness and love she showed me over many years. I love you Penny and will miss your sweet, sweet self.

I knew Penny first in high school at Peoples Academy when she moved to Vermont. She befriended me, a gawky, shy adolescent, with what came to be her trademark, an empathetic charm. We both finished our high school careers at other schools and I lost track of her for many years until later on as a vet tech I found her again in Danville. I am so grateful to have had the time later in life to know her better, sharing her passion for horses. She was one of the bravest and most loving people I have ever met, facing life adversities with grace, and always a concern for others. Her love for her family, and her pride of them, was infinite. The time I was able to spend with her shines like one of the jewels she placed on our horses' browbands, always to be treasured. Love you, Penny!

I knew Penny in school she was a wonderful person. Sorry to hear that she passed so young. I lost track of her after school, sounds like she had a wonderful life. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Penny was one of first people I met when I moved to Newbury in 1989. She found her very compassionate and loving. In fact she was instrumental in founding the Fodd Shelf in Newbury.
