I'm just now hearing this sad news. Percy was one with a radiant infectious smile that would brighten up the darkest of days. I was honored to serve with him on the Gwinnett County Human Relations Council. He was filled with the love of Christ at all times. He paved the way for me and many others like me in Gwinnett. My prayers are with the family during this most difficult time. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Take your rest Percy and thanks for being a faithful servant of God.

An Amazing Man Of God Who Was Used Of God To Help Enrich The Lives Of All The People He Was Entrusted With. He Was Helpful, Loving, Kind & Full Of Humorous Stories That Incorporated Life Lessons With The Faith & Encouragement Others Often Needed In Times Of Challenge Or Distress. He Was A Prayer Warrior, A Destiny Director & A True King. He Was A Lover Who Was Greatly Loved By All. A True Coversationalist, He Was Never Afraid To Stand Up For Others & Was Always Willing To Teach Others To Stand Up For Themselves. I Am Tearful As I Type This, But He Was A Supernova Who's Bright Light Will Shine On Forevsr In Heaven. I Know He Is In A Better Place & Probably Rallying The Angels Together And Developing Ways To Increase Effectiveness In The Kingdom Of God...Lol! He Is Already Greatly Missed, But We Can Find Some Solace In Or Heartwarming Memories & In Knowing We Will See Him Again On The Other Side...Love You, Daddy!!!

Always & Forever
Your Daughter Kim ❤❤❤

Percy Scott was a childhood friend. We grew up in the same neighborhood. There were two boys and six girls in their family our family had six boys and three girls. We attended the same church. Shady Grove C.M.E. We affectionately called him "Butch". He and I attended Miles College. He was a great baseball player, as well as a great bowler. These were after marrying the Love of his life, Karen, they moved to Georgia where Butch continued is family and employment life. Butch always had infectious smile and an awesome personality. He will be sorely missed. Rest well with your parents in Heaven. We love you.

Percy -
Because of your undying perseverance and hard work, you carved a path of firsts in life, and you knew how proud I was of you. Your stories were the best, both gregarious and gracious it always surprised me how thankful you always were every time Cindy or I helped on a work project, but we were a) just doing our jobs and b) wanting to hear another story. You did everything you wanted to do. My Friend, Go Rest High on that Mountain. What a Life, indeed!

Percy Scott gave me my big break! After trying for many years to join the professional fire service, Percy allowed me to turn in my application 2 days after the period was "officially closed". That was the fall of 1987. Thank God that he gave me that opportunity! I have been a member of GCFES since January of 1988. I will always appreciate his humor, smile, and allowing me the opportunity to serve. Prayers for his family and friends.

Thanking God for Percy. He was a blessing to the Moss family. As my brother (in-law) and friend, I will always remember his conversation, smile, attention to the needs of others and approach to life.
He "...fought the good fight..." (2 Tim 4:7). Thanks for the memories.

While his physical presence will be sorely missed, Percy "fought the good fight... (2 Timothy 4:7). I thank God for him as a cherished addition to the Moss family, a good friend and brother (in-law) attentive to the needs of family and community.

I will lovingly remember his conversation, smile, and approach to life.

Thanks for the memories,

Percy was quick with a smile, a quip, an observation, a laugh, and always ready to talk about most anything if you engaged him. He strolled the courthouse with a presence which invited others in and few wanted to escape. He had charm and wit, and spoke with conviction about things he though were important, such as his role in county government, and his concerns for others out in the community whom he wanted to serve. We've lost a Good One. God Speed our friend. We'll miss you.

Dear Percy,

This world is a much better place for having had you in it! You had a gift of connecting with people and making them your friend within moments of meeting them. I am lucky to be able to say that I am one of those people. I have missed our conversations and story times since you retired from Gwinnett and, I have thought of you often throughout the years. You are already greatly missed! Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.

My brother, Percy Scott Jr,...You are truly missed by me and many others. You paved the way for many of your brethren in a time when some may say it was dangerous and foolhardy to do so. For that, I thank you for the opportunities you afforded me. I hope I made you proud and will continue to strive for the excellence that you expected of all of us. May God bless your soul. Rest easy brother.

Pops. I know that the main reason I became even a remotely decent person is in large part because of your love and guidance. I'll never be able to thank you enough, but I can only hope that I make you even remotely as proud of me as I have always been of you. Thank you for being you
