Perman Oglesby Sr.

Mr. Perman James Oglesby Sr, 73, of Salisbury, passed away on Sept. 9, 2016, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. Born Oct. 29, 1942, in Cabarrus County, to the late Paul Oglesby Sr. and Cora Gillis Oglesby. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School in East Spencer. Mr. Oglesby retired from Frito Lay and was a member of Thomas Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Oglesby Sr. He leaves precious and cherished memories with his wife, Nellie Blanche Davidson Oglesby of the home; children, Perman Oglesby, Jr. (Janice), Salisbury, Ronnie Nichelle Oglesby Scott (James), Charlotte, Sonja Davis (Demetric), Concord, Michael Oglesby, Salisbury, and Erika Oglesby, Kannapolis; sister, Barbara Warren, Durham; and brother, Paul Oglesby, Jr., Salisbury; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends. Arrangements: Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Thomas Street Church of Christ; Visitation will be at 12 p.m., and Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery Brother William Latten Officiating and Eulogist.
