In Loving Memory of Perry Mitchel Silva

Perry "Mitch" Silva, beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandpa, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born on October 31, 1959, in Oakland, California.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Loretta Silva. He is survived by his wife, Jodi, and his children: Marisa, Crystal (stepdaughter), Christopher, Dante and his wife Karen, Eric and his wife Ashley, and Vincent (stepson) and his wife Sierra. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to seven grandchildren: Bryant, Maddux, Brenndon, Brooklyn, Blake, Layden, and Cody.

He is also survived by his siblings: sister Denise and her husband Ramon, sister Lori and her husband Bill, brother Kenny, brother Curtis and his wife Lisa, and brother Gregory and his husband Arnaldo. He leaves behind his in-laws Alan and wife Eileen, Terry, April and her husband Matt, and Tony and his wife Tawney, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Perry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as an aircraft mechanic, dedicating his talent and discipline to the service of his country. Following his military service, he continued his aviation career with NASA as a crew chief, where he was recognized multiple times for his exceptional contributions. After retiring from NASA with over 25 years of service, Perry brought his skills and strong work ethic to the family business, Arrowhead Environmental, where he made a lasting impact.

Perry will be remembered for his generous spirit, love for his family, dependability, unwavering loyalty, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A burial service will be held at Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary and Cedar Lawn Cemetery on Friday, October 3rd at 10:00 AM Address: 48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539.

Following the service, we invite family and friends to join us for a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM at: Moores Ave, Newark, CA 94560. Let us gather to share stories, laughter, and memories as we honor the incredible life Perry (Mitch) lived.
