To Pete's Family,
I worked with Pete at Home Depot (Paint) and he was perhaps the most inventory conscious guy we ever had in our department. His attention to detail and his accuracy were matched by no one. If we needed something done exact, Pete was the guy! Aside from his dependability and solid work ethics, Pete was a really good guy! He often told stories or joked around to make the shift go by. Pete never let any of us know that he was sick but near the time that he left, we knew something was not right. Had we known and if there was anything we could have done for him - we would have. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless!

Kim & Madison,
Our hearts go out to you in this difficult time. Petey was the founding "Brother" of the best golf trip ever, that has continued for 28 years now... he will always be remembered as great guy and a true friend. He was the groups "worried mom" and truly went out of his way to welcome everyone to the group and take good care of us. This was also true at the Shell Social Club, around the office, and everywhere else he went. He will be truly missed - please know that you will always have our support if you ever need it.

Kim and Maddie,
Pete was more of a friend and brother than an uncle. He treated our family with love and he will truly be missed. I enjoyed the time that I got to spend with him, especially golf trips. Pete always made me laugh with the dry humor that he had.
If there is anything that we can do for you please do not hesitate to ask.

To Kim and Madison.
You can only imagine the shock I felt when I heard the news of Peter's passing....my high school prom date :-) and then a lifetime friend...and now, so sad to think we can never talk again. I send you hugs and prayers, and hope the wonderful words that people have written here will help ease your pain. As I said in my card, he always spoke so proudly of you two. Much love, Anu and family

Kim, Madison and extended family, please accept my condolences. Pete was a fantastic guy and a great soul. He was the first person to come and talk to me on the 19th floor when I joined Shell 17 years ago. He was always connecting with people and he could make friends easily - with anyone. He was all about building bridges, not
burning them. He will be dearly missed, thought of often and remembered fondly.

Kim and Maddie,
Know that Pete will be missed by many because he was a wonderful friend, co-worker and "Brother" and we all share in your sadness.
It was 1984 when I first met Pete... thought he was a bit of an odd duck then but couldn't help falling in love with the guy... you know that brother love. I will never forget the fun, crazy, stupid, holy crap moments that many of us have shared together.
I will raise one final glass of grappa to you Peter, my friend and "Brother".

I'm really sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I worked with Pete many years ago in Shell and I will always remember him for his dedication to his work and to his humour and outlook on life. All the best to you, Kim and Madison.

I have many fond memories of Pete. Riding dirt bikes out at Waiparious and McLean Creek, golfing with 'The Berzines Brothers' and working long hours in the Shell CAD Department designing facilities. Great guy, great friend - we had a lot of fun 'back in the day'. So sorry to hear of Pete's passing.

I am very sorry to hear about Pete's Passing. We worked together on the Shell CADD system for many years. I especially enjoyed working with him on the dreaded night shift. His humor and good company made those nights fly by. Rest in peace Pete.

To Kim and Madison
Memories… our best memories of Pete through the years:
In the beginning there was College days in Lindsay, the early years in Calgary with Patrick and Pete rooming together [a definite odd couple], weddings, road trips throughout Southwest USA, kids [most special Uncle to our boys], happy times at your cottage in BC, visits and goodies at the farm with Mrs. B, his ever changing assortment of cars and trucks [Tanner says Thanks, Pete] and more recently relaxing with us in Tucson - reading his books, enjoying the hot sun and then off on new adventures.
So many memories… so many stories to share… so much we remember and the smiles they bring us - Pete will be missed by many, especially by our family. Neighbours in Tucson also offer their condolences.
Hugs to you both, Kim and Maddie.
Love Patrick, Peggy, Tyler and Tanner Hartnett and Margaret Brown

Kim and Madison, our home is feeling sad with the loss of Pete. Since our days together in College way back in 1978 Pete and I have been connected in many ways. We lived together when he first moved to Calgary. When I drive by that apartment on 12th ave I think of those good times. I have contacted Pete's friends from College who are back in Ontario and they too send their condolences. So many fun stories to share about Pete and those early College days. Pat and I met for dinner the other night to remember all of those fun times with Pete. We will miss him always.

Pete was highly respected for his skill in Finance by many of us during his career at Shell. Few, if any, could match his ability to put things in perspective with his ability to demonstrate the lighter side of an otherwise difficult situation.

Kim and Maddie, Pete was a great and funny guy, but also a very hard and dedicated worker. In addition he was a great friend. I enjoyed spending time with him at work and outside work. I was saddened to hear about his passing. He made a mark with everyone he touched. He will truly be missed.

Kim, Madison and all of Pete's family,
This is such a shock, and a loss of a true 'one of a kind'. Pete could always be counted on to share a silly email, organize a great event, or buy the world's greatest little red sports car! You have made your mark, now it's your turn to rest a while on the 19th hole.
