Peter John Derksen

Peter passed away peacefully with his loving daughters at his side on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Menno Place in Abbotsford. Peter was predeceased by his wife Agatha in 2004, an infant son, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived and remembered by 3 daughters, Judith (Ben) Hildebrandt, Calgary; Kathy (Ian) Campbell, North Vancouver; Louise (Dan) Williams, Hope. A wonderful Grandpa to Juanita (Mark) Zurowski, Dion (Michelle) Hildebrandt, Steven (Shannon) Hildebrandt, Andrew Campbell (Janine), Jordan Campbell (Natasha), Christy Williams (Craig), Sharman Wiebe, Jason Williams (Rochelle), and great-grandfather to Keely and Lane Zurowski, Meeka Hildebrandt, Shaun Hildebrandt and Waylon Williams.
Peter will also be remembered by 2 sisters, Frieda (Aron) Koehn, Margaret Janzen, and 2 brothers, John (Freda) Derksen, Henry (Myrtle) Derksen, many special friends, to name only a few, Jake and Betty Janzen and Dick and Marion Thiessen. Peter quietly served his Lord in many ways, but one that was dear to his heart was the Abbotsford Male Chorus, of which he was a member for over 20 years, and where he established lasting friendships and enjoyed the fellowship.
The family would like to say a special 'thank you' to the loving and caring staff at Menno Place where Dad resided on West 2 and East 2.
A Graveside Service will be held at Maclure Road Cemetery on Wednesday, December 29 at 9:30 a.m. Service of Remembrance will be held at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd at 11:00 a.m. that same day.
