Christ shone from Pete's eyes! His love of the Lord was in his every action, word and deed. Heaven definitely gained a special angel this week and we had a most special man in out lives for a brief period of time! I remember when he had eye surgery and I had the privilege of coming to help him one day with eye drops. He was so tall and I am so short (LOL) , he slid down on the floor, so that I could place the drops in his eye. We laughed about that so much, that we had to attempt the drops more than once!! We visited and laughed for a long time that day. He will be so missed. Aside of all the wonderful qualities that were mentioned in his memorial, Pete gave the most AMAZING HUGS! He hugged with his WHOLE BEING!!! Like there might not be a tomorrow. I will always remember that about him. He loved everyone like I believe Jesus would. And he loved them with his hugs...............
Rest well, my friend. I know that Jesus will say, "Hello Peter...I know you. Come, meet my Father."
You have left an amazing mark on this world. Thank you for touching my life.

Jan and I always had a good time with Pete when we moved to Hudsonville in the middle 60's. Many wrecker calls in the middle of the night. Condolences to the family. Del, retired Ottawa Co. Sheriff Dept.

A good neighbor and great friend. Both he and JoAnne were next door neighbors for eight years in the Pine Brook Condos. Always a "good morning" and very often a bible verse in the morning. Long chats while Leslie gave us haircuts. We'll miss you Pete but also know you have received your heavenly reward and will never fall again.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Pete. I'll cherish the memories of him taking us neighbor kids on a ride in his fire truck around the neighborhood, after we washed it for him :) what a sweet, kind person. My husband always enjoyed seeing him at Pete's Auto Parts when he worked there and always commented on what a hard worker he was. May God bless you and your family.
