Peter and I were good friends at Repton prep school, Foremarke Hall and at Repton. We shared a tree den stocked with emergency rations supplied and delivered by his father Doug. Delivery by E type Jaguar.

Fond, fond memories. Belated condolences to his family. I live outside the UK so was unaware of Peter's death till I Googled him this morning with the intention of getting in touch.

I came over from Belfast in 1972 to work in Solihull and was introduced to Peter by a close friend David Middleton. Peter made me most welcome into the ranks of Moseley Marauders FC and within a few months persuaded me to act as Secretary of the club with the full backing of all the players. Peter was a player who gave no quarter on the field and left nothing behind other than blood and sweat but no tears. Peter arranged for a match with my team from Northern Ireland !st Bangor FC v Aston Villa Youth squad in 1981 which formed the pinnacle of all our trips abroad. Over the past years I lost contact with all the players having moved back home in 1977 but they have always been in my thoughts and none more so than Peter. I'm only sorry that I was not aware of his passing until now, and, sincerely pass on my condolences, however late to Family and friends.

Very sad to learn of this , Peter and I enjoyed many happy days of competive football as teamates for Moseley Maurauders FC. A team made up of footballers from all walks of life. Who all pulled together, as one when needed. Peter was no mean player, a pleasure to be his Captain. I will light a candle for him at Mass on Sunday at St Josephs and St Helens RC Church , my local Parish church. RIP Peter a good man to have by your side. Peter knew I was a Birmingham City Supporter , and I knew he was a Villa man, in all our playing time we never fell out over that differnce , just not that type of people, pulling together in our team.

I remember well - standing on the touch line at Yarlet Hall and watching the cricket in the summer months. So very sorry to hear the sad news.
