We were blessed to have had him in our lives. He was a good big brother and he had a way of letting you know he cared without words. He was a quiet, gentle and comforting presence when he was around. I always described him as a wise and gentle old soul. He had a look in his eyes that made you think he knew far more than the rest of us and it gave me peace some how. I think at times he felt he had nothing to give...If he only knew how many he touched with his kind and loving spirit. I miss you Peter, rest peacefully. I love you. Martha

My Uncle Peter. He was such an amazing person. He was my father's best friend. If there was one thing I will always remember is his smile and the fact that in every picture I have of him he has a fish. My grandmother has burried two children so far. Loosing a child is a horrible thing. He was a great man. Thanksgiving will never be the same. Aunt Deb, I love you and you will always be my family. He will forever be in my heart. He lives on in heaven and I bet he is fishing up there too !! I will love you always. And thank you for my fishing pole. I will always keep it in memory of you.

Being the youngest of a large extended family, Peter the oldest, He seemed like a giant to me. Strong, mysteriously quiet, seemingly always observing, might be a bit intimidating to someone so much younger. But thats never how I felt. There was a certain warmth that would emanate from him, a special softness in his eyes, that always made me feel safe and loved in his presence. I will never forget!

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
