On July 3, 2011, age 66 of McCandless. Beloved husband of Denise L. (Pfeiffer) Gerst; loving father of Brandi M., Michael (Holli), Ryan, Roy, and Ross Gerst; grandfather of George and Abby Gerst and Eddie Hall; also survived by his siblings, Richard, Anthony, James, Philip, David, and Donna Gerst. Friends will be received Wednesday 6-9 p.m. and Thursday 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. at SPERLING FUNERAL HOME, 700 Blazier Drive, McCandless, 724-933-9200. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church of St. Peter Parish at 9:30 a.m. Everyone please meet at church. Memorial contributions can be made to National Stroke Association at www.stroke.org Memories may be shared at
