I've known Peter for years through online communication and only now realized he'd passed away. I learned so much from him and respected his perspective and his advocacy incredibly. May he rest in peace and find shelter in eternity.

I never met Peter in real life, which is something I will continue to regret. There are only so many passionate & talented people in the world, Peter was one of the truly special ones.

Peter was a moderator for thebreakroom.org for many years after he left Target. He was a kind & fair person who challenged norms, offering a sympathetic ear but wasn't afraid to wield the "ban hammer" during moderation. He was widely respected by many in the breakroom community for his experience & worldview, a champion for those overlooked & 'othered'.
As a friend we shared much about our respective families. He offered comfort for my family's losses & understanding while we dealt with a handicapped child. I followed his joys of time spent with his daughters when he moved from the east coast back to Alaska & the challenges of his job finding employment & services for those with disabilities.
He was a force to be reckoned with & will be sorely missed.

He wrote an epic ballad that I would like to put to music.
Met him through a friend of a friend. We were friends for over a decade. He saw me through the ups and downs of grad school. He was always a voice of reason, hope, and support. I will miss him.

He was one of my best friends. (We were each other's groomsmen)
I took a trip to see him in Alaska a few years ago. Too short.
Wish we could have had more time together.
He was a very good person. Big heart. Great human.
So many that enjoyed his words and company.
Poet, hero, romantic and so much more.

I was so sorry to learn of Peter's death. Though I'd met him only a few times, he had a kind and gentle spirit. My heart goes out to all of his family. Kathy Lundquist (Katz)
