Dr Peter Hoare

I am so sad to hear this!
I was a severely lost and broken 9 year old boy when i came to see Peter at Rillbank, My memories are blurred with time but i remember some of my sessions with Peter, i was so lost, so broken, unable to connect due to trauma, Peter helped make some of this better, i was an extreme case and he wasn't a magician, but he helped me through some extremely traumatic experiences such as self harm, sexual bahavior problems and extreme aggression, he really did help... I've been experiencing a mental health crisis recently and my thoughts and memories turned to Peter and of speaking to him again as an adult and was and still am deeply sad to hear of his passing, he took part of me with him, and a part of every single one of us he has helped. May you rest in Peace Dr. Hoare.

Sorry to hear this sad news. Peter was a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in CAMHS Edinburgh for many years. A really good Dr and a very clever man. Thoughts and condolences from all who knew and worked with him in Edinburgh CAMHS
