I knew Pete through a friend and we had couple of classes together at The University of Alabama. I can't believe it's been almost 5 years of your passing, Pete. You were such a great friend to many! Very down to earth, always willing to help out and I also remember how funny you were after taking the tests, you would act like you did horrible but yet ended up with A+ almost every single time! :-) I'm sorry I didn't know what you went through, you were always smiling and kind to others. Have fun in heaven!

I just read the obituary for Pete- it truly touched my heart. I don't know him but he seemed to be a beautiful person with a promising future struggling with his inner feelings. Thank you for sharing your very personal experience with depression and anxiety. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I just read Pete's obituary in the Los Angeles Times. While I don't know your family, your loss and the honesty with which you honored his life and his struggles touched me deeply. My own son will turn 23 tomorrow so the loss of someone so young and full of promise feels very close to home. Thank you for sharing your story and sending healing thoughts and warm wishes from Southern California.

I didn't know Pete but this obit has touched my heart. I wish such a lovely and intelligent man were still with us. I feel for his loved ones and friends -- and the world for losing such a good citizen. Peace to you all.

To Pete's family and friends..... I guess I COULD say that I can only imagine what you are going through, but that would be an untruth. My brother seemed to have a lot of the same characteristics as were used to describe Pete. I am living proof that you will make it through this time with the love of each other. My brother took his own life forty years ago ..........today. You are in my thoughts and prayers. A "brother" in grief.

My mother committed suicide, and my twenty-seven year old son struggles with depression. We have found it to be so difficult to find good health care in rural Kentucky. Bless you. It's the worst kind of sickness. God is the Great Physician. Your loved one is at peace.
