I had the pleasure of meeting Peter and his lovely wife Robin while working in New York. They were my favorite couple. I told him if I was married and older. I wanted to be like them. Peter was bright, funny and attentive to Robin. I could tell their relationship was present conscious, Fun, and loving. Unforgettable. RIP, Peter.

As one of the leaders of McGraw-Hill School Systems, I had arranged to travel with one of my reps to a sales call. Upon arriving at the designated call, there was Peter, already there, talking to potential customers in his effort to evaluate my leadership. The resulting positive follow-up by Peter is something that affected me greatly in my career, and something I will remember forever. RIP.

Thank you so much Mr. Jovanovich for believing in I and the rest of the Hartcourt scholars! You always pushed us to tap into our inner greatness! And for that I will always cherish and appreciate your support. God bless your family and may you rest in perfect peace.

Peter was a giant in the educational publishing world. He was truly one of a kind...brash, bombastic, provocative (and I must admit, very intimidating when I first met him during my time at CTB/McGraw-Hill). But over the years I learned to really appreciate his insights, his instincts, his support (even the tough love variety) and his broad knowledge of just about anything (from the Yankees starting rotation to the real backstory of the Balkans hostilities). His remarkable medical story gave him 20 precious years with his family. He will be missed.

I was the Director of Sales K-12 at Macmillan/McGraw - Hill and greatly admired Peter's decisive leadership skills. I met Peter when he first joined McGraw-Hill. I was assigned to take Peter and key customers to dinner at a national language arts conference. His knowledge of literature was vast and most impressive. I found out that he was born on Feb. 4, 1949 and I was born on. Feb. 12, 1949.
May God bless him and keep him close,
