Such a shock to hear the news of Peter's passing. I'm glad that he passed in his sleep and didn't suffer for a long period of time. I'll always remember his kind demeanor and love for martial arts - regretfully I didn't take any classes from him.
This is such a great reminder that life is short, and to live each day to the fullest-as if it were your last.
RIP Peter! See you on the other side!

Hey, Peter! We had so much fun and sweet memories worshipping our Heavenly Father at First Chinese Baptist Church in Sacramento. I remembered your Mom and my Mom became very close friends and often shared precious moments at church as well as hanging out for lunch or dinner. Our friendships flourished even more as we joined together to rectify a civil rights and blatant racism violation at a miniature golf course. We organized the Asian community to march and boycott the golf course since the owner refused to make physical changes to offensive signage´s and Asian characters posed in humiliating stereotypes features such as slanted eyes and buck teeth. From that time forward; Peter´s same tenacity to make things right was his legacy while serving and representing his fellow actors in the Screen Actors Guild as well as other efforts to correct inherent biases in the film industry. Hey Peter, I´m so happy that you´re having so much fun reuniting with your Mom and my Mom in Heaven! I´ll see you there someday! With love, your bother in Christ! Edmund

To my good friend Peter
An amazing actor, dancer, business man and friend. I remember first meeting you in the late 70's in L.A. Chinatown through martial arts.
We've been great friends ever since. I'll miss our dance battles, acting and talks we used to have. Most of all I'll miss your friendship. As your iconic character "Rain" in Big Trouble in Little China I'll think of you fondly with every rainfall. My condolences to your family rest now my friend.

Our family is so blessed to have known you. Mom met you in Chinatown when you came from Sacramento and introduced you to my dad, who worked in Hollywood. Amazing to see you become a wonderful actor and get to know you as close friend of our family. Auntie Joyce was waiting there for you with her famous chicken soup. Rest, my Chinese cousin, until we see each other again.

At Norte Del Rio HS, Peter was David's sometimes pesky, always fun, little brother, whom we all liked very much. It was wonderful to know that he went on to a successful life and career where he could showcase his many talents. To see him at a Norte reunion was a treat. Good conversation and dancing guaranteed! He was a great guy who left us far too soon.
