Peter Lacko Obituary
Pete had a big personality and quick wit. He loved traveling the world, both in his career and with his family. His favorite locations were anywhere with a beach or geological features where he could "play with rocks and dirt".
Pete will be greatly missed by his wife of forty years and best friend, Heidi, whom he deeply loved and admired; his children, Pete and Nicky Lacko, and Jessica and Kevin DeBold; his grandchildren, Ryley and Savannah DeBold and Peyton Lacko; his siblings, Stephen Lacko (Kathy), Joseph Lacko, and MarySue Albertson (Blackwell); his twenty nieces and nephews; along with many other cousins, family members, and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 17, 2024 at 11:00am at All Saints Lutheran Church in Lutz, Florida. In true "Pete fashion", the family requests a beach motif where suits, socks, and ties are not required.
In lieu of flowers to honor Pete's love for music, please donate to the All Saints Lutheran Church music department.

I think of Peter when I see mountains and when I find myself picking up cool rocks for my granddaughter who loves rocks.
When I see him again, we´ll again crack jokes about "it´s all in the geology".

Knowing Peter was a delight. While we didn't see enough of Heidi and Peter except at Steve and Kathy's St. Patrick's Day celebrations those days were indeed special. Peter seemed to always be smiling and enjoying the company. May he rest in peace.

My heart felt condolences go out to Peter´s family and friends. While not a close friend..we had a special bond being in the APHS band together for 2 years (both playing Sax) before graduating in `74 and later I would run into Pete at Rutgers a couple times. I remember his sense of humor and just being a really nice guy..!!

Peter was my dear friend since 1986, and I will miss him dearly.
We met professionally, and I quickly learned to trust him for his competence, judgement, integrity and above all for his high moral standards.
His commitment to his family was second to none and he always talked lovingly about his children, grandkids and his beloved Heidi.
Peter loved geology and taught me that "all is in the geology", which became our internal saying and one that I will remember.
Peter was a Christian and is waiting for us in heaven.

Every annual summer trip to be with the family in Belmar. Also, the yearly get together for the Belmar St. Paddy Day celebration. Pete was like a brother to me. I will miss him very much.
