I know that you are now very happy and though we are saddened by your death, I take comfort in knowing that you are much happier. You will be missed tremendously and I will always be thankful for all the memories. I am especially thankful that you were able to attend your 50th reunion at the Mount and to see your beloved Red Sox finally win the penant. I will miss you terribly and love you very much.

I can't even begin to imagine life without my father. We caused each other plenty of heartache in years gone by, but in the last 20 years, we were close. He was always there when I needed him and I will miss that. I know he is finally where he wanted to be - with Mom and I will try to find some peace in that. With love always, Karen

If it weren't for your dad, I wouldn't have as many happy memories as I do (Cheetos in the ears??? smile!) He lived a wonderful life, gave us 5 wonderful people (all of you) and it comforts me to know that he's with your mom now. We'll be thinking of you, especially in the most difficult next few days.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to all of my cousins. I hope you will find comfort knowing that your Mom and Dad are together now. Since hearing the news I have been fondly recalling many wonderful childhood memories of my Godfather and Uncle Pete. I will always remember the pain he inflicted on me the day he pierced my ears!
