Peter MASON Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province from Jan. 30 to Jan. 31, 2015.
MASON, Peter F.
November 28, 1928 - January 23, 2015
Peter was born in Torquay, England and died in Vancouver, BC. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Ian) and Michelle, and his grandchildren, Ben and Kate (Braun) in B.C. and Christopher in England. He will be missed by his family and friends both in Canada and in England. Peter led a life full of love, travel and adventure. He sailed the Atlantic, lived in the West Indies and travelled in the US, Europe and Tanzania. He was a watch maker, jeweller, hotelier, real estate agent, photographer and a passionate gardener and rose grower. He won prizes at the VanDusen and the Pacific Rose Shows, and in his lifetime planted amazing rose gardens in Victoria, Vancouver and Torquay. We thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Mt. St. Joseph's Hospital. Dad will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Please contact a family member or email [email protected] for details of the celebration. If you wish, a donation in his memory may be made to the S.P.C.A.

Condolences. I have not seen or spoken with Peter for several years, but we spent some time together in the 1980's playing golf and sharing the company of mutual friends. Always an enjoyable gentleman to be with!

Sincere condolences to Peter's daughters, Linda (Ian) and Michelle, and his grandchildren, Ben and Kate (Braun) in B.C. and Christopher in England.
Having first met Peter in 1985 when joining Christine Dexter's Dexter Associates firm, his involvement in our professional family is remembered. Wishing you comfort and courage in the days to come.
