Sending you my sincerest regrets. It is difficult when one loses their parents. What was our home is gone and it brings home the fact that we are now the older generation and we have to be the support for our children and eventually their children. Sorry for your loss.
From across the miles with the sincerest of sympathy. Brenda

I can only say that I will miss his stories of the "old days" in Westboro and Sandy Hill were I grew up. Take care Peter.

To Peter's family, please accept my deepest sympathy. Peter was a good man and a great boss. I worked for him at Customs and Excise. That was almost 20 years ago but we still met up every now and then to chatch up. He will be missed.

Kim and Pam,
I worked with Peter at Customs and Excise as well as DOJ. I even golfed with him once or twice - I always thought that was special, since he didn't really like to golf with women. He loved you and the grandchildren a lot. I will miss him.

I knew Peter from the Firearm Program and we had strong discussion on women on golf course - as you can imagine! and one day, he used a pink ball for one hole and that was one of his best! He will be missed. My deepest sympathies.

Dear Kim and Pam,
Although I did not know your Dad that well I know how much you loved him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I wish I could be there with you now, but we will certainly have to have a toast to Peter this summer!!

When I joined CPIC in May of 1972 the organization was in a state of organized mayhem. Everyone, except me as a new hire, was under extreme pressure to make the July “go live” target. There is nothing like an entire building, a whole organization focused on one, and only one, objective: to put CPIC online, on time. However, there was one fly in the ointment: Peter. As was often the case, Peter was in the middle of a practical joke war with several co-workers. At the time I thought this was a little disruptive to the organizations focus. Only later would I appreciate what a glorious stress reliever his little war was.
I would learn that this was Peter: focused on getting the job done but never missing an opportunity to have a little fun. When I later joined Peter at Customs and Excise, he did my job interview in a pub. When I made a contractual mistake that cost us a few thousand dollars Peter just rolled with it: he said he'd have a few thousand dollars worth of “fun” getting the money back.
I'm going to miss him.
My deepest sympathies on your loss.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on Peter's passing. I also knew Peter from the Firearms Control Program. He was a lovely, kind person with a beautiful smile. I will always have fond memories of him.

I'm John Sullivan, and a close friend Paul Blachford and I knew Peter from a little pub in the west end of Ottawa. We shared a round of golf with Peter and heard several stories about his Granddaughters. He was most proud of them and his attempts at turning them into golfers. When anyone of the family next hits the links, think of Grandpa Peter. I know Paul and I will.

I knew Peter from the Carleton Tavern. I played golf with him once last year at Cedarhill Golf club. Very nice man and it was a total shock. God Bless. Roger Power.

Kim & Pam: My thoughts are with you over the loss of your dad . . .
Peter will certainly be missed by me. We had lots of great memories growing up when he, Eddie and Ruth visited us (Claire, Vince, Brian, Judy and myself), and your great grandmother, Fay . . . at Christmas. You may remember us a bit--sure hope so.
I'd love to get in touch (in Vancouver these days) at [email protected], or (604) 218-2877.
