Dear Kathy and Family
All the members of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Support Group will be saddened to hear of Peter's passing.

Peter joined our group after meeting me at the Brisbane Prostate Cancer Support Group in late 2010.

Initially we were a great help to him. He told us that meeting with other men in much the same boat shifted him from thinking "death sentence" to seeing it as a management issue.

But soon it was Peter who was inspiring us. Though he had an unusual location for his prostate cancer that limited his response to treatments, he did go through the steps of managing his disease with his doctors. His reports to us of his progress from one treatment to the next, and his realistic positive frame mind gave heart to those of us who may travelling at an earlier stage of that path.

Peter was particularly helpful to me as I called upon him to handle phone calls from men facing new issues so he could give realistic advice and reassurance.

We will miss Peter's presence from our meetings.
