Peter Meisenzahl Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 26, 2024.
On Friday, October 18, 2024, Peter Albert Meisenzahl Jr., loving partner and father figure of two children, passed away suddenly at the age of 63, in his hometown of Orange, California.

Pete was born on October 23, 1960 in Massena, NY to Peter and Annette (Fournia) Meisenzahl and raised in the Rochester, NY area. He served in the Marine Corps following high school and later graduated from California State Polytechnic Institute at Pomona with a BS degree in electrical engineering. He held several engineering and project management positions over the years in the defense and railroad industries - most recently Meteorcomm. He was also owner/creator of several private businesses such as Meisenzahl Custom Woodcraft, Grins2Go Photography and MotoPhotoMerch.

As a child, Pete loved the outdoors and was an Eagle Scout. He quickly became proficient in computers and all things technical. Later, he developed a passion for woodworking, motorcycles, photography and always loved his pets. Of course, traveling and adventuring to new places was a constant.

Pete is survived by his long standing partner, Lisa Huang and her two children Justin and Aishlinn, parents Peter Sr. and Annette Meisenzahl, brother Eric Meisenzahl, sister Lynn Meisenzahl, several aunts, uncles, cousins, two nieces, two nephews and one great nephew.

I met Pete a few times and I was looking to reach out again for photo work - sad to see his passing. He generously took photos of our youth event to support their growth and success. It was a very nice gesture and was hoping to hire him to repay his kindness. Blessings to his family.

Pete was the quintessential good guy. I worked with him and his team in his Grins2Go franchise, and am glad that we kept in touch afterwards. We loved to talk about all things photographic, from gear to lighting concepts when he was photographing motorcycles. I´ll miss our chats when he visited Dallas for work, and our periodic calls about whatever he was exploring at the time. Pete, you will be missed.

There are numerous reasons I could list why Pete was a solid friend. He was always willing to share his life experience's openly which left me with a fresh perspective and new ideas. We shared so many good times together and I can´t believe he has left us for a better place now. Peace be with his Family.

I have many good memories of friendship with Pete when we attended St. Margaret Mary's grammar school. Those memories make me smile. So long, good buddy. My condolences to your family.

Peter was my only local cousin, and so glad to have him and his family near. Helped him often with his photography business and will miss him very much.
