I first met Pete in San Francisco. He was looking for my company to help out on an account there. Although we did not get the work we struck up a close friendship. He later hired me to work for him and Helen at SSDC. During those years Pete became a father figure to me. Mentoring me, building my character and teaching me things about life and business. As I write this I am remembering all the great times we spent together. Like installing the generator at the ranch for Dan’s wedding. Although there was much work to be done we still had time to walk the ranch and talk for hours into the night. And the tomato dinner Helen and Pete gave me when I last saw him. I still have the menu framed on my wall to this day! My deepest sympathies go out to Helen, Tom, Dan and Katie. I know he is looking down on us all and prey that I become half the man that he was. He will surly be missed.

Mr. Miller was a big part of my life as a boy as one of our outstanding scouting 'dads' in Troop 800. He loved to go on our countless backpacking trips, and when he 'drove' it was always an exciting adventure for all of us. I am a software engineer today because of the experience I had with him taking 'Computers' merit badge he taught in scouts, Many of us enjoyed many summer days at the Miller house and their 'above ground pool' and the many hours playing pachinko. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mrs. Miller, Tom, Dan and Katie. I'm know that Mr. Miller and Mike are together at this moment enjoying the missing years together. Gods blessings.
