Pete was one of the best men I have had the pleasure of knowing. I played golf with him and visited with him at the beach many times and always had a blast . He did enjoy his retirement and I will always remember that smile !We are all going to miss you Chief ! Jimmy Lewis

I have so many wonderful memories of Pete. He knew my grandfather, Clarence W. Smith, who also served in the BCFD. My condolences to Pete's family.

Rest in peace Pete O'Connor. I had the privilege to work for the fire department when Pete was the chief of the department. During my 25 years of service, he was the second of five different chiefs during that time. He was by far the most outstanding chief at that time. He was a hands-on type of guy who showed up from anything from a small dumpster fire to a multiple alarm. He loved his job and his pride for it was contagious. Enjoy the fruits of heaven Pete, no one is more deserving.
