When my siblings and I argued as children, if you were the first to get in with "Uncle Peter is on my side", you were deemed to have won...because he was a policeman!! Having left Australia for foreign shores I haven't seen Peter since I unexpectedly ran into him at the Immigration Counter one day (quite) a few years ago but even that brief encounter is etched into my memory especially as I remember his smile that extended right into his crinkly eyes and his deep voice which kept us a bit in awe of him when we were kids. I was so very sorry to hear the tragic news of his death. Sending my very fondest regards to Susan, Sean, Zoe and Patrick at this incredibly sad time.

What fond memories I have of Cyprus days and most recently Brisbane. It was an honour to work with Pete. His passing is marked with such sadness and a feeling of profound loss and that the world is now short a true gentlemen. Sincerest condolences to Pete's family at this sad time.

Peter,
We worked together for a few months in Cyprus in 2003 and 2004 and I'll never forget the laughs we had picking up the fish and chips at Dhekelia. Then we got to meet Sue and with my wife Judy we had a few more laughs. We will miss you.

Thanks Pete,
For eveything, you were indeed a scholar and a gentleman, I learned a lot from you over those many formative years and I thank you sincerely!
Your passing is indeed a sad loss for everyone that knew you!
Rest in peace, old mate - & Cheers mate,

Peter's passing is a great shock. I served with Peter over many years in Queensland with the AFP. A good friend and colleague. Commiserations to Peter's family and friends at this sad time.

To the best brother-in-law, friend and uncle. Thank you for all you did for us. You don't know how much I am going to miss hearing your dulcet tones of "Hello Mrs Roberts" when you would phone. Love and remembrance ALWAYS, Pete

Pete,
Thanks for being such a wonderful brother. I'll see you again on the other side. Thanks also for all your support to Nat through her chemo treatment. You'll never know how much you'll be missed by all your family and friends. They threw away the mould when they made you.
Love forever,
Glen

Peter Roberts was a dear friend. We enjoyed many fun times together. He had warmth, integrity and humour. Peter was always available if we needed help and will be greatly missed.
