Peter D. Samuelson, 89, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 27, 2023.
Peter was born on February 13, 1933 in Clearwater, Wisconsin to Emil and Esther Samuelson. After serving in the US Army he worked as a logger in Wisconsin and northern Minnesota most of his life.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed every aspect of the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his former wife and friend, Beatrice, son, David (Barb), brothers, Obed, Nate, Eli, and Phillip, sisters, Naomi Poole and Ruth Schatz.
He is survived by his daughter, Joan (Don) Tomlanovich, sons, Joey of Eagle River and Paul (Jay) of Bozeman, Montana, and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Peter's wishes are that there be no services held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hildebrand Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, 54501, 715-365-4343.

Joan, Joey, and Paul......Sincere sympathy to you and the rest of the family in the loss of Pete. I always remember him as a kind, soft spoken man. He had a big heart. He lives on through you.
