To Mary Jane and Family,

During my years as a partner in C&L, I often had the honor and priviledge to work closely with Peter. During these times, Peter would challenge me to stretch my creativity and imagination and to come up with the optimal solutions to business problems. No matter how difficult the meeting, I always left Peter's office inspired and motivated. Peter would always make you feel special. Although some 20 years since we spoke last, I often think about the lessons I learned from Peter. I hear his voice and his laugh. I will always remember him. Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of this truly honorable, kind and inspiring man.

To Mary Jane and Family:

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of Peter. My wife Jacki and I did not get the chance to know him, but certainly see that he accomplished much during his lifetime.

Mary Jane, I have had the extreme honor and priviledge to work for your son, Peter, here in Des Moines. I can certainly tell you that the legacy left by your husband is in very good hands with your son. Jacki and I have certainly been blessed in so many ways to know both Peter and Jane.

Please know that Jacki and I donated to Hospice of Central Iowa in honor and memory of Peter R Scanlon. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Mary Jane and Family,

I am sorry to learn of your loss. Peter was such a fine person and a good example for others to follow. A fine "Bronx Boy".

I was a friend of Peter's brother, Mike, and used to visit their home in Saint Brendan's Parish when Loretta Scanlon was still there.

Peter and Jane - I am so sorry to hear about the lose of your father. I had a chance to look at his obituary and he appeared to have a very full life. In the end, that is all we can really ask for out of life.

You family will be in our prayers.
